External Agencies and Partnerships

At King James I Academy, we benefit from  good working relationships with a wide range of people who provide services to children with SEND and their families. This can be of particular support  when a child is demonstrating further cause for concern or their learning need is more complex and persistent. Links with external agencies are vital to ensure that we provide the highest levels of support for our students with SEND. The external specialists may:

  • Support the child and their family directly
  • Act in an advisory capacity
  • Extend expertise and training to school staff
  •  Provide additional assessment
  • Suggest if statutory assessment is advisable
  •  Consult with all parties involved with the child
