Students climb Roseberry Topping for Butterwick Hospice Care

Three of our Year 10 students, and one of our Sixth Formers and her friends, have climbed Roseberry Topping in North Yorkshire to raise funds for Butterwick Hospice Care.

Channelling James Bond in Media for a magazine production

Year 12 students in Media Studies have been setting up creative photoshoots to gain images for their current magazine unit.

Students inspired by Heart Global visit

Students in all years groups have taken part in an exciting three-day Heart Global music and performance project in school.

SFX zombie makeup workshop for Media students

Creative Media students in Years 10, 11 and 12 have been treated to an unusual workshop in SFX makeup. Local makeup artist, Amy Algar visited the Academy to deliver a special effects workshop and demonstration, designed to educate media students on how to use liquid latex to create zombie prosthetics and props for filmmaking and photography projects.
