Welcome to the latest issue of Vision, our Academy magazine.
Since the removal of Covid restrictions, things have been rapidly returning to normal at King James. We have been able to take learning out of the classroom and students have enjoyed the opportunity to engage with visitors and take part in educational visits again. This is vital for students to have a full and enriching education, is a huge part of learning in the Academy and has been missed throughout the pandemic, and we are now planning for overseas visits again.
Our Ofsted visit in February really provided students with the chance to show off their Academy, and they did. As usual, they were a credit to you as parents, and it is heartening to see the pride they have in attending King
James, and inspectors commented on this during their feedback to Governors. We were obviously delighted with the "Good" Ofsted judgement and their recognition of how hard the Academy works to secure the best outcomes for students.
I would like to finish by wishing all King James students who are taking external exams this summer the very best of luck. Despite the disruption of the last two years, I have been hugely impressed by their dedication and commitment, and I have no doubt that when the A’ Level and GCSE results are released in August our students will be celebrating their fantastic achievements!
Best wishes,
Simon Whitehead, Headteacher
