In Food & Nutrition, Sixth Form students have been developing their food presentation skills in a practical session focusing on desserts.

Sixth Formers develop a wide variety of practical skills as part of their studies, from pastry, pasta and bread making, to learning how to cook with herbs and spices to celebrate cuisines from around the world. However, there is no better way to develop skills in presentation than working on desserts.

In the most recent session, students made a variety of cheesecakes and fruit tarts which they then presented using hand made chocolate decorations, spun sugar and fruits. The result was a range of desserts which could easily have been produced in a professional kitchen.
