This week, our whole cohort have visited the Auckland Project to learn about local history and the amazing facilities that lie on our doorstep.
Over two days, students enjoyed a guided tour of Auckland Palace, learning about its rich history from the knowledgeable guides, and they also admired the beautiful interior of the Chapel and visited the Faith Museum to consider the impact of faith and religion in our society. Those with a head for heights were even able to take in the fantastic views of Bishop Auckland from Auckland Tower!
We have a well-established partnership with The Auckland Project which allows all departments within King James to access facilities to support learning outside of the classroom. Already, students from Art, Drama, Photography, Science, Music, Geography, History, Media and Business have organised learning experiences at The Auckland Project.
