In Maths, a group of Year 8 students have taken part in a trip to the Stadium of Light and Beacon of Light in Sunderland.

Pupils from Woodhouse Primary School are attending weekly sessions with our Media Department to learn filmmaking and editing.

Student librarians in Years 7-10 have met with the Kirsty and Caroline from the Conservation Team at the Auckland Project to learn about logging and recording collections and preserving different materials. Students were also able to try processing some artefacts for themselves.

In Design & Technology lessons, Year 7 students are working on a practical project to design and then produce packing for chocolates.

Year 13 students in Media, Art and Photography have returned from a four night cultural visit to Majorca where they explored the architecture, religion and history of the island, and shot photographs and footage for their coursework.

Our Sixth Form Football Team have made an excellent start to the North East College League and are celebrating their second win in two matches.

This week in Food Science, Year 12 students have embraced the art of Italian cooking by learning how to make fresh pasta and appreciating the great difference in taste between home made and shop bought.
