Students have recently enjoyed a trip to Windlestone Campsite where they took part in an inspiring outdoor reading and story telling event.

Our students joined forces with pupils from St. Joseph's RC Primary School in Newton Aycliffe to learn how to build a campfire before cooking their own tea and settling down to share spooky stories around the fire.

The event was an excellent experience for all who took part and working with primary pupils provided an additional opportunity for our young people to develop diverse teamworking skills. Feedback from our students has been extremely positive and following a number of enthusiastic requests, we are in the process of organising a return visit.
