Student Librarians learn from professionals

October 2024

Student librarians in Years 7-10 have met with the Kirsty and Caroline from the Conservation Team at the Auckland Project to learn about logging and recording collections and preserving different materials. Students were also able to try processing some artefacts for themselves.

The group then visited the Faith Museum and considered how those artefacts were preserved before making their own displays with artefacts they had been working with throughout the day. They wrote information cards and considered how they would present their collection to make it as engaging as possible for visitors.
