Key Stage 3 students have taken part in a Digital Safety Drop Down Day to raise awareness of a variety of aspects of digital safety such as gaming, social media and behind the digital mask.
As part of the event there was a session called 'A Different View', designed to give students the opportunity to hear from guest speakers from the Cyber Prevent, Protect and Prepare team from Durham Constabulary, who delivered a session about cyber crime. Students also watched a special filmed message from TV celebrity, Scarlett Moffatt about social media influencing.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the sessions; as a result they were able to reflect on their own digital practices and identify areas for improvement to protect themselves.
