We have been working with The Key, a charity which allows young people to bid for funding to help them drive forward a project of their choice.
Students form a group and progress through a five-step process to think, plan and pitch their bid to a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style panel of judges. If successful, they then move forward with the project, and finally review their progress. Projects may include things such as organising a trip, launching a new club or developing a project to benefit the community in some way. Transitioning through the stages sees young people build their confidence, grow as individuals, and recognise the positive impact they can make in society.
