Six girls have enjoyed an overnight trip to London to watch tennis at Wimbledon. They were accompanied by PE staff, Mrs Crowther and Mrs O’Connor, and chosen to attend as a reward for their achievement in PE throughout the academic year.

The group joined thousands of fans to watch tennis on Court 2 in scorching 32 degree sunshine. They then enjoyed a visit to Leicester Square and the M&Ms store, which is the largest candy store in the world spread over four floors. This was followed by a little sightseeing and a restaurant meal in the evening before turning in for the night. The following day, at their request, the girls took in some more shops before heading home.

It was fantastic for our students to see professional players in action and to experience one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world and the only Grand Slam played on grass.
