The pop-up Scholastic Book Fair has returned to King James for 2025, giving both students and staff the opportunity to buy a wide range of books from bestsellers and classics to exclusive titles.

The Scholastic event is a celebration of reading that puts the very best books directly into the hands of pupils, all while raising rewards to spend on books and resources for our Academy Library. The pop-up offers a wide variety of books to suit all ages, and with all genres covered, there is also something to suit everyone whatever their interests. The overall aim is to promote reading for pleasure.

We currently have three mobile bookcases on loan packed with over 200 of the newest and best books from over 60 publishers, including exclusive titles that aren't available in shops or at any other fairs. Students can browse the books at lunchtime and place an order with our Academy Librarian, Mr Wheatley; he will then organise the distribution of books once they arrive in school.
