Year 8 student, Nieve H is celebrating winning first place in the under 12s solo category at the UK Street Dance Challenge, which was held at Alton Towers.

For four years, Nieve has been a member of the Xtreme Dance Fusion club, which uses the dance studio facilities at King James Community. As a child, Nieve was constantly dancing and even took up ballet for a while, however she joined the club to expand upon her love of street dancing and never looked back. Now, she attends two sessions each week. Nieve said, "Street Dance is great exercise but learning new choreography is really challenging and it's so rewarding when it all comes together."

The Solo trophy is not the only one that Nieve collected at the event; dancing with her all-girl under 12s team, she also celebrated 2nd place. Congratulations!
