Year 5 pupils at St Andrews Primary School have completed a Mini Medics training course as part of our Primary Outreach Programme.

Working with our Academy Health & Safety Officer and First Aid Trainer, Jonathan Page, the group of 24 students learned life saving techniques such as CPR and how to put someone into the recovery position, alongside the recommended contents of a first aid kit and basic treatment skills. Jonathan said, "Students were absolutely outstanding and approached the course with such enthusiasm for learning. I hope that they will never have to use their new skills, but am confident that if the need arises, they will rise to the occasion."

Students received a workbook, sticker and certificate for their efforts. Well done!
