We are proud to announce that King James I academy has achieved CyberFirst School status, recognising our commitment to excellence in computing and cyber security education.

This accreditation highlights the opportunities available to students to develop vital digital and cyber skills through an engaging and forward-thinking curriculum. Becoming a CyberFirst School reflects our dedication to preparing young people for the rapidly evolving world of technology and future careers in the cyber industry. Last year, the department was awarded the NCCE Computing Quality Mark, which recognises excellence in computing education offered by a school; this CyberFirst award further highlights the strength of the department and the commitment of its staff to provide the best possible computing education for young people.

King James received CyberFirst Silver recognition, and the award was presented to our Director of Learning for Computer Science and IT, Jade Franklin, by Ben McIvor from CyberFirst North East. Both are pictured here.
