Our new Student Librarians have completed their training and developed a better understanding of book organisation and the layout of our stock. They now have the knowledge to assist Mr Wheatley in the running of our Academy Library.

As part of the training session, the group completed some fun activities and games to get them in the mindset of a Librarian. One of the tasks, pictured here, helped students to understand the Melvil Decimal System, which is used to classify books, by giving them some scenarios which they would match up with a recommended book.

On 23rd of this month, Mr Wheatley is taking the group to the Auckland Project to meet with the professional Collections Team so that they can develop their knowledge further.
