Election campaigns for our Year 11 Leadership Party began today with an event which saw our four Academy Parties deliver their manifesto via a live stream to all classrooms across the Academy.

To closer represent our UK Parliamentary system, this year's candidates for student leadership roles, who are currently in Year 10, were challenged to form a Party, develop a manifesto and organise an effective week-long campaign within a tight budget to inspire voters across all year groups.

Party speeches were excellent and candidates showed great initiative in the suggestions made to improve student life, from ideas to open a stationery shop and create outdoor eating hubs to proposals for a summer uniform inspired by the recent hot weather.

Now that each party have addressed their voters formally, the personal campaigns to enlist supporters will begin and the official vote and count will take place on Thursday 29th June. Good luck to all of our candidates – we look forward to announcing the results.
